Terms of Service

Enneagram Café is operated by De Novo Arts London Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 07212547), registered office Studio 9, 78 Granville Road, London, NW6 5RA. In these terms, “we” and “I” both mean De Novo Arts London Limited, and “you” means you as a member.

These terms apply alongside our Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy. The Community Guidelines set out how we behave with each other; these terms set out the agreement between us. Both matter, and joining means agreeing to both.

1. Joining

Membership is for people aged 18 or over.

Enneagram Café is designed for people who already have a grounding in the Enneagram, usually through one of our courses or events. We’ll have a conversation before you join so we can both be sure it’s the right fit.

Your membership is personal to you. It’s for one person. You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email rather than a password, so please don’t forward those links or let anyone else use your access.

2. What’s included

• Enneagram Café sessions — fortnightly, Tuesdays 19:30 GMT/BST, 90 minutes. These are recorded. See section 5.
• Patterns in Practice — weekly, Fridays 11:00 GMT/BST, 75 minutes. These are never recorded. See section 5.
• The recording archive — past Café sessions, subject to section 5.
• The Digital Library — a curated collection of resources, view-only. See section 6.
• The WhatsApp community — see section 4.

Attend as many or as few sessions as you like. We aim to run sessions to the published schedule, but occasionally a session may be moved or cancelled. Where that happens, we’ll give as much notice as we can.

3. Payment and cancellation

Full membership is £39 per month, taken monthly in advance by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Some longer-standing members are on an earlier rate. That rate continues for as long as their membership does, and we won’t move anyone off it. Anyone who’d like to move to the current rate is welcome to, and I’m grateful when people do, but nobody needs to.

There’s no contract and no minimum term. You can cancel at any time in your account settings in the members’ area. Your membership continues until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you keep full access until then.

We don’t refund part months.

If a payment fails, we’ll let you know and try again. If it can’t be collected, access pauses until it is.

If prices change, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice before it affects you, and you’re free to cancel in that time.

4. How we behave with each other

Our Community Guidelines form part of these terms. They cover confidentiality, respect, participation and the WhatsApp community, and they’re worth reading properly rather than skimming.

The short version, because it matters most: what’s shared here stays here. People talk about their lives in these sessions. Don’t repeat or share anyone’s story outside the community.

The WhatsApp group means other members can see your phone number and display name. If you’d rather not share those, let me know and we’ll find another way to keep you in the loop.

About the group itself. Joining it is optional and membership doesn’t depend on it. It runs on WhatsApp, so Meta’s own terms and privacy policy apply to the messages, and I have no ability to retrieve or delete anything from their systems. I can’t monitor the group continuously, so if something there troubles you, tell me directly rather than assume I’ve seen it.

5. Recording and confidentiality

Recording is the part of membership people ask about most, so here is exactly how it works.

Enneagram Café sessions are recorded. They’re recorded through Google Meet, so whoever is speaking appears in the recording. If you speak, you’re in it.

Patterns in Practice sessions are never recorded. That’s deliberate and it won’t change. It’s what makes that space work.

Where recordings live. Recordings are hosted on Vimeo and embedded in the members’ area only. They’re restricted so they can’t be played anywhere else, and they aren’t accessible on Vimeo or publicly. Watching one requires being logged in as a member.

Who can watch what. As a member you can watch recordings of sessions held since you joined. For sessions held before you joined, you can apply for a 30-day viewing licence. When you do, everyone who was a member at the time that session was recorded is emailed and given 72 hours to raise an objection. If nobody objects, I decide whether to approve it. If anyone objects, it isn’t approved.

Recording your screen is not permitted. The sessions are already recorded and available to you in the members’ area, so there’s no reason to capture, download or re-record them — and you must not. Nor may you share any session recording, in whole or in part, outside the community. These are people talking about their lives, and keeping the recordings within the community is what makes that possible.

If you’d rather not be recorded. Google Meet records whoever is talking, so if you take part in the conversation, you’re in it. Being recorded is part of how a live Café session works, and it’s what lets other members catch up afterwards. If that isn’t for you, you’re welcome to watch the recordings instead, and Patterns in Practice, included in the same membership, is never recorded.

If a concern comes up later. You agree to being recorded — as a participant of Enneagram Café sessions — separately when you join, not by accepting these terms. Being recorded when you speak is part of how a live session works, and the recordings only work as a shared archive if they stay there for the members who rely on them. If, further down the line, something about a recording you’re in becomes a concern — because your circumstances have changed, or something that felt fine at the time no longer does — please tell me. I take that seriously, and we’ll work it out together, case by case, giving real weight to your wishes where something is genuinely sensitive or unwanted.

6. The Digital Library

The Digital Library is provided for your own learning while you’re a member. Materials are view-only. Don’t download, copy, redistribute, or share them outside the community.

Some library materials are the work of other authors and teachers in the Enneagram tradition, provided here for members’ personal study. Access ends when your membership ends.

7. Intellectual property

Session content, written summaries, the materials I’ve created, and the site itself belong to De Novo Arts London Limited. You’re welcome to use what you learn however you like — that’s the point — but the materials themselves aren’t yours to republish, sell, or use in your own teaching or coaching without asking me first.

Plenty of members are practitioners and coaches. If you want to use something in your own work, just ask. I’m usually happy to say yes.

What you share stays yours. Anything you say in a session or post in the community remains yours. By taking part in a recorded Café session you’re allowing us to include your contribution in the recording and make it available to members as described in section 5, and nothing more.

8. What this is, and what it isn’t

Enneagram Café is education and community. It is not therapy, counselling, psychiatric treatment, or medical care, and nothing in a session is a substitute for professional support.

Patterns in Practice uses a body-based approach to working with real situations. It isn’t somatic therapy, and I’m not working with you clinically.

If you’re going through something difficult, you’re very welcome here — but please also make sure you have proper support alongside it. If you’re in crisis, contact your GP, NHS 111, or the Samaritans on 116 123.

I’m not able to provide crisis support, and the community isn’t set up to hold it.

9. If things go wrong

If something happens in the community that troubles you, tell me. That’s set out in the Community Guidelines, and it’s the route I’d always prefer.

In rare cases, if someone repeatedly disregards the Guidelines or these terms, or does something that makes the space unsafe for others, I may end their membership. Where that happens, I’ll refund any unused part of the month.

Two things would fall squarely into this category: capturing a session recording, and disclosing to anyone outside the community what a named member has said, whether in a session or in the WhatsApp group. Discussion between members about what came up is expected and welcome. The obligation is not to identify a member, or attribute what they shared, to anyone outside the community.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t lawfully be limited.

Beyond that, and because this is a community rather than a professional service, our liability to you is limited to the membership fees you’ve paid in the three months before the issue arose.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we’ll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you’re free to cancel in that time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
