Community Guidelines
Creating a safe and respectful space for exploration
Our Approach
Enneagram Cafe is built on trust, curiosity, and mutual respect. These guidelines help us create a space where everyone can explore their patterns openly and feel safe doing so.
Confidentiality
What’s shared here, stays here. Personal stories, vulnerabilities, and experiences shared in sessions or in the WhatsApp community are confidential. Do not repeat or share others’ stories outside of our community.
In Patterns in Practice sessions, confidentiality is even more critical: sessions are not recorded specifically to protect this space.
Respect and Curiosity
Lead with curiosity, not judgment. We’re all here to learn, which means being open to perspectives that differ from our own. When you don’t understand someone’s experience, get curious rather than critical.
Honor different experiences. The Enneagram describes nine ways of seeing the world. What feels obvious to you may be incomprehensible to someone else, and vice versa. That’s the point.
No tiger-typing. Don’t tell someone else what type they are. Only each person can determine their own type, because only they know their inner experience and motivation.
Participation
There’s no “right” way to participate. Some people speak every session. Others listen and reflect. Both are valuable. Show up in whatever way serves your learning.
If you speak, speak from your own experience. Use “I” statements. Share what you’ve noticed about yourself, not what you think about others.
If you listen, you’re still contributing. Your presence and attention create the container that makes this work possible.
WhatsApp Community
The WhatsApp group is an extension of our sessions, so the same principles apply: confidentiality, respect, curiosity.
Keep it relevant. The group is for Enneagram exploration, questions, insights, and connection. Off-topic chatter belongs elsewhere.
Be mindful of volume. Consider whether your contribution adds to the conversation or just adds noise.
If Things Go Wrong
If you feel uncomfortable, hurt, or that these guidelines have been violated, please reach out to Kieran directly at [email protected].
We’ll address issues with care and discretion. In rare cases where someone repeatedly violates these guidelines or creates an unsafe space for others, they may be asked to leave the community.
The Spirit of These Guidelines
These aren’t rules for the sake of rules. They’re here to protect what makes this community special: the safety to be vulnerable, the freedom to explore difficult patterns, and the trust that we’re all here to support each other’s growth.
Thank you for being part of creating and maintaining this space.
